Foundation course:
Three days (the MSP® Foundation exam is normally taken during the afternoon of the third day)
Practitioner course:
Two days (the MSP® Practitioner exam is normally taken during the morning of the last day)
Self-learning courses:
All our courses are flexible and can be tailored to fit with a busy work load or routine. We are able to deliver courses via a distance learning work book with tutor support as required.

MSP®- Course Structure
Our MSP® course has been designed and developed to allow delegates to understand and apply MSP® not just to pass the exams. We specialize in working together with organisations and individuals to understand how MSP® works and how to effectively integrate it in to the existing structures and processes of the parent organisation.
Our course materials are based on the 2011 edition of, “Managing Successful Programmes” and include examinations based on this manual.
Our MSP® Foundation and Practitioner 5 day course follows a two part structure. The first three days of the course involve familiarisation with the content of the MSP® manual, preparing for the Foundation examination.
Following successful completion of the Foundation examination, delegates will spend one day preparing for the MSP® Practitioner examination, sitting this examination on the final day of the course.
MSP®-Foundation & Practitioner Training Process
For all organisations we can tailor and plan any training event to maximise delegates’ potential in the PRINCE2® training environment. Following confirmation of booking and receipt of the fee ABSC Solutions Ltd will arrange to send the Pre-Course work to the delegate.
The pre-course work usually consists of:
1) Directed reading of the manual including Introduction, Principles, Introduction to Themes from the “Managing Successful Projects”
2) Depending on the delegate learning style and/or time available work through a Pre-course workbook which will be used by the delegate during the course.
The pre-course work will require around up to 20 hours of study prior to the course start date. The MSP® Foundation and Practitioner training event is an intensive 5 day course that includes the MSP® Foundation and Practitioner examinations within the course. Although you do not need to do all the pre-course work the more you complete before the event the less intense the course should be.
MSP® - Exam Details
MSP® Foundation Exam Details:
This is a one hour 75 question multiple choice examination including 5 trial questions, with a pass mark of 35 out of 70 (50% pass mark). Success in this examination indicates that the candidate would be able to act as an informed member of a programme management team using the MSP method within a programme environment. Please note you must have passed the Foundation examination before you are eligible to take the Practitioner examination.
MSP® Practitioner Exam Details:
This is a 2.5 hour 80 question Objective Test Examination with a pass mark of 40 out of 80. Success in this examination indicates that the candidate could apply MSP® to the running and managing of a non-complex programmes. To retain a MSP® Registered Practitioner status a delegate should take and pass either the MSP® Practitioner or Re-Registration exam every 3 to 5 years.
